Masters of Health Professions Education

The Master of Health Professions Education (MHPE) is a graduate-level program designed to develop educational leaders, scholars, and innovators within the health professions. This interdisciplinary program equips healthcare professionals—including physicians, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, and allied health educators—with the knowledge and skills necessary to design, implement, evaluate, and lead effective educational programs in academic, clinical, and community settings.

Rooted in evidence-based teaching and learning principles, the MHPE curriculum integrates key areas such as curriculum design, assessment and evaluation, faculty development, educational leadership, and research methods in health professions education. Participants gain hands-on experience in educational scholarship, leadership strategies, and program development, preparing them to improve learning outcomes and contribute to institutional and systemic change.

Graduates of the MHPE program are prepared to assume leadership roles in academic institutions, health systems, accreditation bodies, and policy-making organizations, advancing the quality and impact of health professions education locally and globally.
